Square One Beads - Classes Offered

Classes now being held at Blue Door Studios
I am excited to announce that starting December 1st I will be holding Jewelry, Polymer Clay, and Silver Clay classes at Blue Door Studios. To sign up for a class you can call me at 414-550-8092, email me at heather@squareonebeads.com, or call the studio at 920-261-8770. Be sure to specify a color preference for your kit (all classes but silver clay.) All classes will have 3-6 students. Payment is due a week before class begins. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted. Don't see a class you are interested in? Call me to set up a custom class for you or your group. Blue Door Studios is located at 112 N. Jewelry Basics - August 17th 7-9pm
In this one evening class you will learn the basics of jewelry making. Proper crimping, basic wrapped and unwrapped loops, stringing, and basic design will be taught. Students will create one pair of earrings and one bracelet. All supplies will be provided. Class will run about 2 hours.

Caterpillar Bracelet - August 19th 7-9pm
In this one evening class you will learn how to make a fringed bracelet your friends will rave over. The project will not be completed in class but you will leave with instructions on how to complete the bracelet at home. All supplies will be provided. Class will run about 2 hours.

Earrings Unleashed - August 24th 7-9pm
In this one evening class you will be given the opportunity to make up to 5 different earring pairs. This is a great opportunity to create one of a kind gifts for family and friends. All supplies will be provided but feel free to bring any special beads you may want to incorporate into your work. Class will run about 2 hours.

Chainmaille - RSD - August 26th 7-9pm
In this class you will learn a basic chainmaille pattern known as Rhinos Snorting Draino. A strangely named but very pretty bracelet pattern. As a bonus, you will also learn how to make your own hook clasp. All supplies will be provided. Class will run about 2 hours. The project may not be finished in class but you will receive instructions to allow you to finish the bracelet at home.

Chainmaille - Byzantium - August 31st 7-9pm
In this class you will learn a basic chainmaille pattern known as Byzantium. As a bonus, you will also learn how to make your own hook clasp. All supplies will be provided. Class will run about 2 hours. The project may not be finished in class but you will receive instructions to allow you to finish the bracelet at home.

Polymer Clay Basics - Sept 2nd 7-9pm
You will learn about the 5 main types of polymer clay and some of the basic techniques. Techniques taught will include, color mixing, skinner blends, lentil forming, jelly roll canes, and basic cane construction. All supplies will be provided. Class will run about 2 hours.

Polymer Clay Creatures - Sept 7th 7-9pm
In this class you will learn how to create a seahorse pendant and decorate it with small pearls and beads. This class will also include the basics of deconstructing an animal into basic shapes and using those shapes to reconstruct the animal in clay. All supplies will be provided. Class will run about 2 hours.

Polymer Clay Cuff Bracelet - Sept 9th 7-9pm
In this class you will create a cuff bracelet and decorate it with canes. This class will take 4 hours and may or may not be completed in class depending on the complexity of the cane you choose to create. All supplies will be provided. It is recommended you have either some familiarity with polymer clay or take Polymer Clay Basics before taking this class.		I

Silver Clay Basics - By request only
This two session class will teach you the basics of Silver Clay. In the first session you will learn about silver clay and how to work it creating a basic pendant. In the second session you will refine your piece and prepare it for firing. Pieces will be fired after class and can be picked up at a later date. Each session will be about 2 hours and you will keep the tools you use in class.

For the Kids
Beading for Kids - By request only
Kids love jewelry just as much as adults do. In this 2 hour class your child will be able to make a necklace and bracelet set of their very own. Ages 6 and up only please.

Polymer Clay Sculpture for Kids - By request only
Kids and clay just seem to go together. This 2 hour class will let kids use polymer clay to create whatever their imaginations can come up with. Due to size limitations, some creations may need to be baked in the home oven but all parents will receive detailed instructions on how to properly bake each piece. Ages 6 and up only please.

Birthday Parties
Hold your child's birthday party at Blue Door Studios. Your child can choose between a Beading Party or a Polymer Clay Party. At least one parent must be in attendance for the duration of the party. Call 920-261-8770 for more details.
